Lepsida nuda

Lit: the scaley smooth. This is a charming little mushroom that is a beautiful purple color and fruits in late autum. I spent $12 on this freekin mechanical pencil not including the blue graphite. I doodled this in the hotel room. I saw other blue mechanical pencil drawings on DA and loved the clean look they had. I'm rather pleased with this for 20 muinutes work. Lepsida nuda or "Blewit" is next to imposible to cultivate comercialy yet it is in high demand. We have several patches near us and I have transplanted the mycelium into my compost pile and the mycelial fans (roots) quickly colonizing the pile. With any luck I will have this mushroom in my back yard. Even my little sister (a picky 5 year old) enjoyed a soup with them and Maitake (Japanese for dancing mushroom, when you find one you dance for joy, I did) mushroom.
