Found this guy among the leaf litter by a lagoon in the Osa. Had crazy eyes. The blue on my fingers is from a plant called Genipa. I had spotted myself with leopard spots in deep blue. the night before, and it lasted for the next MONTH before I finally spent an hour in the shower scrubbing the rest off.
I think it's actually a frog. Hard to say. Has a bit of both and while the distinction is pretty clear up north there were a lot of warty frogs and glossy toads or maybe the other way around. |
